About the Game

What is 'The Last Score'?

(No, they won't be naked forever.)
The very short version-- The Last Score is a steampunk survival base-building game. Twenty humans have survived the apocalypse, and it's up to you to keep humanity from going extinct.

Grow crops, harvest trees, mine for materials, craft tools, build houses, scavenge for whatever is left behind before time and decay ruins everything. Be careful: mad sciences' aberrations and alien creatures have rival claims on this planet, too.

Inspiration and Influences

Classic 90s SNES games-- particularly The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past, for its style and aesthetics. RimWorld, for its smooth gameplay and characterization details. Stardew Valley. Banished. Don't Starve. Towns. The Sims series.

Art & Style

The Last Score is a 2d three-quarters top view game with retro-style RPG pixel art. Most of the art comes from OpenGameArt.org's "Liberated Pixel Cup" entries using the Creative Commons licence.

  1. Great Job! When will be the first alpha ready to play? And what engine do you use?

  2. Thank you! I'm using the Unity engine and coding in C#. As for the alpha... I'm not sure. I've been making great progress lately, and I CAN tell you that its current state took me about two months of work as of this moment, and I feel like I'm about 55% finished with the very basics. No promises, though.
